CACHC calls for federal policy to improve refugee care and settlement
May 15, 2017 – CACHC has written to the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, federal Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship to voice strong concerns over gaps in support for refugee settlement and care across Canada.
In addition to calling for federal investment to address persistent gaps in funding for mental health services and professional interpretation services, CACHC is formally recommending suspension of the Canada-U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement.
