POSITION DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and deliver nutrition consultation services, as well as develop tailored programs for individuals and groups, in accordance with professional standards, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care in consultation with patients and their families.
Participate in the creation, delivery, and evaluation of education and health promotion programs in the four communities served.
Establish partnerships with local organizations to promote healthy eating and maximize the use of community resources.
Stay up to date with research and best practices in nutrition to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences.
Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario or a student expected to obtain this status in the spring or summer of 2025.
In-depth knowledge of practical experience in health promotion, education, and program evaluation.
Experience in primary health care or a related field is an asset.
Understanding of the specific realities and needs of rural communities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is required.
Strong computer skills, including communication and data management tools.
