2002: CACHCA hosts the 4th pan-Canadian Conference on Community Health Centres, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Conference speakers include many of Saskatchewan’s political and advocacy leaders who are on hand to join in celebrating the 40th anniversary of Canada’s publicly-funded, publicly-administered health system — Medicare. Canada’s system was first established in the province of Saskatchewan, in 1962, before finally taking root across all of Canada’s provinces and territories in subsequent years.
